‘The Way It Sounded That Day’ is an album recorded and composed in Tokyo, Berlin, and Nebraska between 2010 and 2016. Cities, nature, cultures, people; all moving together in inexorable techno rhythm.

jumps out at me is the patience throughout. It
feels very confident and poised, and relaxed at the same time.

It feels like these selections really capture the
playful tone that characterizes a core quality of
your work. The combination of the way
that tracks have space to slowly unfold and the
collage / field recording work remind me of some
of the early chillout jam electronics, maybe
something like Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld with
the spaced-out grooviness of early Mouse On Mars.
And of course the Move D influence, especially in the low-end.'
