It has been 20 years since I completed my first serious foray into electronic music composition and production, a project begun not long after my arrival in Japan in 1999.

These songs were inspired by my burgeoning love of electronic sounds, the vibrant gritty streets of Osaka, a life-changing trip to Burma, and my first days in the high-energy dreamland of Tokyo.

'Clean' came into being in August 2001 in Tanimachi 9-chome ('Tani-kyu').'Unemployed' was completed on a thundery warm day in June 2002 in Higashigaoka in Meguro-ku.
